Indore, April 22 -- Prayan Choudhary of Indore and Swasti Chauhan of Gwalior emerged as champions in the MP State Under-9 Chess Competition held at Indore Public School. The tournament, played under the Swiss League format, witnessed strong performances from young talents across Madhya Pradesh. Ved Nair of Indore and Trisha Mishra of Jabalpur finished as runners-up in their respective categories.
The event saw players from Indore dominate the Open category, while the Girls category highlighted talents from Gwalior, Jabalpur, Dhar, and Bhopal. With the top two players in each category finishing with equal points, final rankings were determined based on technical tiebreaks.
