Chandigarh, April 21 -- Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij on Sunday directed the state electricity Nigam to remove the 33kV power line from Dhulkot 220kV sub-station to the 33kV sub-station at 12 Cross Road in Ambala Cantonment. The Minister said that action on removing the approximately 20-kilometer-long line will commence shortly.
Highlighting the need for the move, Vij explained that the line currently runs over several residential colonies, posing safety risks to residents. Its removal will bring relief to thousands of people living in these areas.
