Gurugram, May 16 -- Sudden thunderstorm with winds spike in dust pollution on Wednesday night and Thursday morning impacting traffic movement severely affecting visibility and deteriorating the air quality.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) has breached the 200-mark, entering the 'poor' category, raising serious health concerns. India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for duststorms. Tree uprooted and fell in various areas of the city including sectors 15, 18, 32, 37, Kadipur Industrial area, Palam Vihar and 51 and commuters struggled to navigate on roads.
