Ujjain, June 16 -- In a major operation under the ongoing special campaign against illegal narcotics in Madhya Pradesh, Garoth Police successfully intercepted a drug smuggler transporting a large quantity of poppy husk (Doda Chura) worth approximately Rs 4 lakh. The operation, led by Superintendent of Police Abhishek Anand, resulted in the seizure of 2 quintals and 7.5 kilograms of the illegal substance.
The breakthrough came after Sub-Inspector M.L. Chauhan of Garoth Police Station received a tip-off during the night of June 14-15, 2025. The information indicated that a blue, unnumbered tractor with a tanker, allegedly carrying Doda Chura, was on its way from Melkheda to Garoth-Bhanpura road, with plans to proceed towards Jodhpur.
