KAWARDHA, Dec. 14 -- nKawardha police on Friday, during checking of paddy transportation along state border with Madhya Pradesh seized cash worth Rs 39.20 lakh from a vehicle.
The seizure assumes significance as it has come ahead of the municipal polls in the state which is going to be held on December 21.
The car driver who failed to answer properly about the amount in his possession has been taken into custody for further questioning.
Talking to media, Kawardha Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh termed it as big success of the police.
