New Delhi, May 31 -- The Delhi Police have detained 30 Bangladeshi nationals, on Friday, found to be residing unlawfully in the Bharat Nagar area of the capital. The operation, conducted by a special surveillance team throughout May, culminated in surprise raids following a tip-off about suspicious activities involving illegal migrants in the locality.

All 30 individuals have now been placed in detention and restriction centres in Delhi. Authorities are currently processing legal action against them under provisions of the Foreigners Act, police said.
