India, Jan. 31 -- Delhi Police has conferred honorary ranks to 111 personnel on the day of their retirement at a ceremonial event held at the Police Headquarters on Friday.
The pipping ceremony took place at Adarsh Auditorium and marked the second such event under the honorary rank promotion Scheme for the Delhi Police.
The ceremony was presided over by Commissioner of police Satish Golchha, who personally pipped the retiring personnel with the insignia of their next higher honorary rank.
The beneficiaries ranged from the rank of constable to sub-inspector. Senior officers of the force were also present during the event.
