India, Jan. 21 -- Nitin Nabin, on Tuesday here, formally took charge as the new BJP president with Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the young leader will be his boss in matters related to the party. "He will now write my CR. I am awaiting his guidance," Modi said. Nabin, 45, is the youngest party chief.
Congratulating him at the BJP headquarters here, Modi, in his nearly 40-minute address to the gathering, repeatedly referred to Nabin as 'mananiya' (honourable) and listed out the achievements of his government over the last 11 years, which he described as giving an account of his work to the party president.
