India, Jan. 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders exchanged New Year greetings and discussed developments related to the Gaza Peace Plan, while reaffirming their shared commitment to combating terrorism.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed Modi on the progress and implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. Prime Minister Modi reiterated India's long-standing position in favour of a fair, sustainable, and lasting peace in the region.
