Kanpur, May 31 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met the grieving family of Shubham Dwivedi, a 31-year-old businessman from Kanpur who was among the 26 innocent lives lost in the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. The emotional meeting took place at Chakeri airport shortly after the Prime Minister landed in the city.
With folded hands and a heavy heart, the Prime Minister offered his condolences to Shubham's wife Ashanya and his parents, Sanjay and Seema Dwivedi. Visibly moved by their composure in the face of tragedy, Modi told the bereaved parents, "I can understand your pain. It is a matter of immense pride to see you bearing this irreparable loss with such courage."
