Chandigarh, Feb. 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rewari district, which will be built at a cost of approximately Rs 1650 crore.
Noting that Rewari AIIMS is the 22nd AIIMS, Prime MInister informed that 15 new AIIMS have been sanctioned in the last 10 years. More than 300 medical colleges were established in the last 10 years, while only 380 medical colleges were established after independence till 2014. In Haryana too, work is going on to ensure at least one medical college in every district.
He said the double engine government is dedicated to transforming Haryana into a developed state, ensuring a bright future for today's young generation. ...
