New Delhi, Feb. 18 -- Congress Indian Overseas leader Sam Pitroda courted yet another controversy with his comments negating Chinese threat to India which brought him in line of fire by ruling BJP while Congress distanced itself from their celebrated leader.
The Congress leader, whose comments have been a frequent fodder for the BJP's attacks on the opposition party, is reported to have said that he does not understand the threat India faces from China, claiming that it is often blown out of proportion. Congress distanced itself from Pitroda's remarks, saying these are not the views of the party and that China remains India's foremost external security and economic challenge.
