Mumbai, June 2 -- Some good news emerged from the worst-coronavirus affected Maharashtra on Monday in the form of increase in the rate of recovery of patients by 26.47 per cent during the last one month - from 16.88 per cent on April 30 to 43.35 per cent on May 31, even as coronavirus claimed 76 lives and left 2,361 others infected in various parts of the State during the last 24 hours.
The number of deaths dropped in Maharashtra from 89 on Sunday to 76 on Monday. There had been a total of 591 deaths in Maharashtra during the previous six days. On May 26 (Tuesday) the state had witnessed 97 deaths, while there were 105 deaths on Wednesday, 85 deaths on Thursday, 116 deaths on Friday and 99 deaths on Saturday.
