NEW DELHI, Oct. 18 -- Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that hiking parking fees during the implementation of the odd-even vehicle rationing scheme will be counterproductive.

Kejriwal's statement came after the Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) chairman Bhure Lal had asked the Delhi Government last week to fix parking charges as per the new parking policy so that it could be hiked in view of growing air pollution.

Addressing media persons, the Chief Minister said, "It will become very difficult for people to travel if the odd-even scheme is implemented and parking fees are also hiked."
