BHOPAL, Jan. 25 -- A large number of parents, teachers, Anganwadi workers, and social workers attended a meeting of the Child Protection Committee organised by Samman Sanstha in Bhopal, the state capital, on Friday.
In his welcome address, Director of Samman Sanstha, Father Simon James, said the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the various problems facing the settlements and find solutions to them in collaboration with the Children's Parliament.
During the meeting, serious issues such as the misuse of mobile phones by children, child marriage, drug addiction, and unemployment were discussed in detail. Special emphasis was placed on the role of the Child Protection Committee and the Children's Parliament in solving these problems.
