New Delhi, March 29 -- Asserting that delay in constituting inquiry and prosecution wings of the Lokpal hampers its ability to function efficiently, a Parliamentary Panel has asked the government to take urgent steps to form the two key divisions within a period of six months.

Recruitment of qualified personnel, including investigators, legal experts, and prosecutors, may be given top priority, the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice said in its 145th report, tabled in Parliament on Thursday, on the Demands for Grants (2025-26) pertaining to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
