India, Sept. 8 -- As the monsoon season brings fresh challenges, Food and Supplies Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Sunday reviewed the status of ration distribution, with the Government claiming Delhi has become a "benchmark" in the country for its efficient handling of the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme.

Additionally, Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa instructed officials to ensure that information regarding eligibility under the ONORC scheme is prominently displayed.

Officials reported that 57 per cent of the September ration quota has been distributed so far.

This includes free rations for 1,45,610 migrant beneficiaries who have availed their share under the ONORC scheme.
