SURAJPUR, April 13 -- In view of Covid-19, the administration in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district said on Monday it has initiated live telecast of aarti and prayers to goddess Kudargarhi in Chaitra Navratri online.
These will be telecast live on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter at 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM every day, a press release said. Amid a spike in Corona cases and deaths, a lockdown was announced on Sunday in Surajpur district from April 13 to April 23.
Surajpur Collector Ranbir Sharma has decided to close the Kudargarh Dham fair held on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, said the press release.
Sharma appealed to the devotees to pray at home during Navaratri so that the infection of Covid can be checked.
