DEHRADUN, Oct. 24 -- One person died and another was injured in a road accident in Purola area of Uttarkashi district on Wednesday. In another mishap, two buses collided near Dat Kali temple, resulting in more than a dozen persons sustaining injuries.
According to the information provided by the Purola police, two teachers riding a scooty collided head-on with a bus. The deceased teacher has been identified as Vandana (36), a resident of Purola while the injured teacher has been identified as Meenakshi Aggarwal (49).
According to the local police, the accident occurred around 9 am when both the teachers were on their way to the school.
While the deceased's head was crushed by a tyre of the bus, the injured suffered a sprain in her leg. T...
