Bhopal, April 22 -- Under the special drive of police to check illegally transported liquor, money and arms which could impact conducting of Lok Sabha elections, Parwalia police has on Sunday nabbed a 48-year old man and recovered a loaded country-made pistol and two live cartridges from his possession.

According to the police, acting on a tip off, a man was nabbed near Jhirnia and when he was searched, a country made pistol and cartridges were recovered from his possession.

The accused was nabbed when he tried to cross district checking border after spotting police personnel.

In the initial investigation, the miscreant was not able to provide any details of carrying the weapon. The accused was identified as Gyan Singh Silawat of Rasulia...
