India, Sept. 10 -- In an effort to ensure effective governance to benefit citizens of the national capital, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced the launch of an annual awards programme to honour officers and departments delivering exemplary performance in their respective fields. The award categories include Best Engineer, Best Department, Best SDM and Best DM.
She also directed that regular public hearings must be organised in every district to ensure that citizens' grievances are addressed directly. The Chief Minister specified that detailed schedules of such hearings should be submitted to the Chief Minister's Office in a timely manner.
