NEW DELHI, July 17 -- The arrest of Karan Khanna, a 32-year-old member of an inter-State drug peddling racket in national Capital on Tuesday, has led the sleuths of Delhi Police Crime Branch to a vortex of drug peddling. Khanna who is singing like a canary, has disclosed a startling trend: that there was a huge spurt in the consumption of hashish (charas), marijuana and other narcotic drugs among high profile people in the city. Police have also seized around 12,00 gram of hashish, California weed weighing one gram and 500 mg cannabis oil meant for supply in reputed educational institutes, clubs, hotels and lounges here.
