India, Sept. 9 -- In a move to accelerate development and end what she called "years of neglect" in North-East Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday appointed Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra as Minister-in-Charge for the constituency.
Gupta chaired a high-level meeting at the Delhi Secretariat to review stalled and ongoing development works in the area, a populous region with a significant Purvanchal population.
The meeting was attended by a host of public representatives, including MP Manoj Tiwari, Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, several MLAs, Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, and all local councillors.
