New Delhi, May 14 -- The non-formation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) standing committee has led to significant delays in various projects including the first multi level bus parking facility. This is because the standing committee is responsible for approving projects costing over '5 crore, and without it, these projects are stalled.
After change of guard in the MCD, the BJP-dispensation had claimed to form the body, which controls the civic agency's finance, within a month and to convene its first meeting but neither dates of election of three vacant seats have been announced nor 'house' meeting is being called.
