India, Jan. 20 -- Facing widespread outrage, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday removed Noida authority chief executive officer (CEO) and Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), Lokesh M, has been removed from the post and formed a three-member special investigative team to probe the death of a 27-year-old Noida based techie, who died after his car drowned into a pit in Greater Noida's Sector 150 area.

The Government order of Lokesh M's transfer came shortly after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday took cognisance of the techie's death and ordered an SIT probe by high-ranking officials into the matter. The SIT will submit a report in five days.
