Bhopal, April 22 -- Bhopal is sweating harder each year. But behind all the talk of sustainability and green reforms, little seems to be cooling down-least of all the city's climate.
April now feels like May. Summer arrives early, stays longer, and scorches harder. Upper Lake water levels fluctuate oddly, and winters have shrunk into a few dry, forgettable weeks. Climate confusion-once dismissed as exaggeration-is fast turning into a reality that can no longer be denied.
The administration talks tough. Rainwater harvesting drives, electric buses, and climate action plans are all on paper-and occasionally in press releases. But on the ground, many of these measures are symbolic, patchy, or stuck in the gears of bureaucracy.
