New Delhi, March 4 -- In a significant ruling, the Delhi High Court refused to ban children from bringing smartphones to school saying that such an approach is neither practical nor desirable. The court clarified in its decision that the use of smartphones does not negatively impact teaching, discipline, or the overall educational environment in the classroom. The ruling came on a writ petition (W.P.(C) 15191/2023) filed by a minor student through legal representatives, against Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector-05, Dwarka, New Delhi and other respondents.
