BHUBANESWAR, April 22 -- PCC president Niranjan Patnaik on Sunday urged the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to ensure that voters don't exercise franchise under anybody's pressure in the third-phase polls to be held in six Lok Sabha and 42 Assembly constituencies on April 23.

Patnaik alleged that the BJD and the BJP are trying to threaten voters not to go against them. Incidents of bombing and murder are examples of poll-related violence.

Stating that free and fair elections help worthy candidates win elections, the PCC chief called upon voters not to get biased by false promises of the BJP and the BJD.

Besides, Patnaik urged police officers to ensure that no booth rigging takes place during the third phase polls.
