BHOPAL, Feb. 24 -- The late 19th century Sadar Manzil welcomed its first guests on Sunday, a day after the carefully restored heritage hotel was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to coincide with the Global Investors Summit.
The painstakingly restored heritage building, boasts of 22 rooms that are fully booked through the summit dates.
The opening of the hotel has brought fresh excitement in the area which formed a part of a royal enclave during Bhopal's princely past. Large weekend crowds thronged the Iqbal Maidan where a defunct fountain has been restored to welcome guests to the neighbourhood.
