India, Jan. 13 -- Trade relations between India and the United States (US) moved firmly into the spotlight as the newly appointed US Ambassador to India announced that bilateral trade negotiations are actively underway, with the next high-level call scheduled on Tuesday, January 13.
In his first major address after assuming office, the Ambassador said both sides are determined to advance discussions despite the complexity of reaching an agreement with the world's largest nation by population.
