New Delhi, June 5 -- Operation Sindoor destroyed at least nine aircraft including six Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets, two surveillance aircraft, ten armed drones and a C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, it was learnt. Moreover, the Indian military strikes inflicted heavy damage to Pakistan's aerial and ground military assets.

India launched Operation Sindoor early May in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 in which 26 innocents were killed.

The military strikes were carried out in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir(POK).
