Patna, June 23 -- In a significant announcement on Sunday, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar revealed the "finalisation of design" for the "holistic development" of the revered Jagat Janani Maa Janaki Temple at Punaura Dham in the state's Sitamarhi district.
Maa Janaki Janmabhoomi Temple in Punaura village of Sitamarhi district of Bihar is believed to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita that Mata Sita was born at this place.
Sharing the finalised designs for the project on social media platform X, the Bihar chief minister said a dedicated trust had also been formed to expedite the construction work of the temple.
