New Delhi, June 13 -- The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will transform the iconic Mandi House area into a vibrant cultural hub with a dedicated annual budget to promote performing and visual arts in the NDMC area, Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal announced on Thursday.
Speaking after the NDMC Council meeting, Chahal said, "We are committed to making Mandi House a centre of art and cultural expression in Delhi. It will host exhibitions, music events, seminars and other cultural programmes that reflect our city's rich heritage and support our artists." He added that this move would enhance the area's identity as a cultural destination and offer more opportunities for community engagement.
