New Delhi, May 5 -- With the aim of ensuring cleanliness, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)will launch a citywide mega cleanliness drive as 'Shramdan,' starting from Monday, civic body said on Sunday.
Giving details, it said during the drive, strict enforcement and monitoring by adopting a zero-tolerance policy, NDMC will crack down on unauthorised vendors, lack of waste bins with vendors, use of single-use plastic, non-segregated waste disposal, public littering and Illegal hoardings and damage to public property.
Violators will face fines and FIRs, with CCTV surveillance and on-ground inspections ensuring strict compliance, NDMC said.
