Lucknow, June 16 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday reiterated that Naxalism will be eradicated from the country by March 31, 2026. Speaking at an event to distribute job letters to newly-recruited civil police constables, Shah said, "In 11 years of rule under PM Narendra Modi, the country has become secure. Naxalism was prevalent in 11 States, but now it is limited to just three districts. Remember my statement, by March 31, 2026, the country will become free from Naxalism."
