Jammu, July 18 -- Ahead of the Monsoon session of Parliament, the National Conference (NC) on Thursday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for mocking Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as an "escapist" in a provocative cartoon tagged "Always escaping and not delivering- U-Turn Sarkar." The NC also accused the BJP-led Centre government of betraying Jammu and Kashmir by stalling the restoration of statehood, declaring that the time is ripe for granting statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
