Bhopal, April 28 -- Mayor Malti Rai on Sunday initiated the ground-breaking for sewer networking, sewage treatment plants (STP), and park developments in Shahpura, Gulmohar Colony, and Manisha Market.
The project will be carried out under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, aiming to address sewage issues and enhance the city's environmental standards.
The event saw participation from the mayor's council, local councillors, business owners, and residents. Rai highlighted the importance of the scheme in alleviating long-standing sanitation problems, particularly in Ward 50, where Rs 41 crore will be spent on laying 22 kilometres of sewer pipelines and building an STP.
