Indore, April 20 -- The Madhya Pradesh State Under-9 Chess Competition commenced at Indore Public School with enthusiastic participation from over 100 young players representing various districts across the state. The tournament is being held under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh State Chess Ad-hoc Committee, with support from the Central Province Chess Association and the All Indore Chess Association.
The event was formally inaugurated with a ceremonial chess move by Ashima Pabale, former senior women's MP State Chess champion, and Mrs. Sudha Pandey, Principal of Indore Public School. Other dignitaries present at the inauguration included Shailendra Pabale, Vivek Vishwakarma, Pankaj Tiwari, and Abhishek Gupta.
