Bhopal, May 5 -- The Madhya Pradesh government is set to borrow an additional Rs 5,000 crore this month, further intensifying concerns over the state's ballooning debt. The loan will be acquired in two equal installments of Rs 2,500 crore each from the Reserve Bank of India and is structured for repayment over a period of 12 to 14 years. According to official sources, the transaction process will be finalized by May 6, and the funds are expected to be credited on May 7.
