India, Dec. 23 -- Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal has written to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi proposing that Sadbhavna Park, located on Ring Road, be renamed as "Atal Sadbhavna Park" to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. He has also suggested to install a statute of Vajpayee in the said park.
Khandelwal said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji was one of India's greatest statesmen, a visionary leader, an outstanding parliamentarian and a symbol of democratic values and national unity. His life and work were deeply rooted in the ideals of Sadbhavna (harmony), dialogue, inclusive development and good governance, ma-king the proposed renaming both symbolic and meaningful.
