Bhopal, June 5 -- The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has confirmed that the monsoon is progressing as expected, with the likelihood of its arrival in Madhya Pradesh after June 10, 2025. Although the monsoon is currently stalled in parts of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, there has been no significant delay in its advance.
On Wednesday, pre-monsoon rainfall continued to affect various parts of the state, with the western region experiencing heavier downpours. Bhopal, the state capital, and Shajapur saw rainfall coupled with strong winds. The skies in Bhopal remained overcast since morning, followed by drizzle and rainfall in the afternoon, while Shajapur witnessed about 30 minutes of rainfall.
