Bhopal, June 19 -- The southwest monsoon has made a swift and dramatic advance across Madhya Pradesh, covering 51 of the state's 52 districts within just three days. Bhopal was among 35 districts that experienced monsoon showers on Wednesday, while only Bhind remains outside the monsoon's reach. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhind is expected to receive rainfall by Thursday, marking complete state coverage.

The monsoon, which typically arrives in Madhya Pradesh around June 15, entered slightly behind schedule on June 13-14.
