Patna, June 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress alliance during a rally in Bihar's Siwan district on Friday, accusing the two Opposition parties of "spreading lawlessness in the state and halting its development engine."

Addressing a rally at Jasoli in Siwan district of poll-bound Bihar, Modi specifically targeted RJD chief Lalu Prasad, alleging that he had shown disrespect toward Dr BR Ambedkar. "While RJD and Congress keep Baba Saheb (Ambedkar) in contempt, I hold him dear to my heart," he said.
