CHENNAI, April 11 -- In fiery speeches delivered at Vellore and Mettupalayam in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tore into the arrogance and corruption practiced by the DMK and the family controlling the party. The Prime Minister described the DMK and its ally the Congress as the embodiment of corruption, arrogance and malpractices.

In an apparent reference to a news report carried by The Pioneer that the demand for trifurcating Tamil Nadu was growing silently, the Prime Minister said that the Kondgunadu region was crying for development.
