Jamshedpur, April 17 -- In a bid to streamline and expedite the passport issuance process, a mobile van service has been inaugurated at the Passport Seva Kendra in Jamshedpur, starting from Monday. However, due to initial lack of awareness, only six applicants availed of the service on the inaugural day.
According to the Regional Passport Office in Ranchi, with increased awareness about the availability of the mobile van service, it is anticipated that the number of bookings will rise, and the service will be able to process passports for up to 40 applicants daily. This initiative aims to alleviate the wait time for passport issuance, providing a much-needed solution for the residents of Jamshedpur.
