Bhopal, March 13 -- The Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (MKVVCL) on Wednesday urged consumers to prioritise electrical safety while celebrating Holi.
The company warned against lighting Holika Dahan bonfires near electric poles, transformers, or under power lines, as the intense heat can melt wires and electrical equipment, increasing the risk of accidents.
Even a small lapse in caution can escalate into a major mishap, making it imperative for people to ensure a safe distance from power infrastructure during celebrations, said the company.
Shopkeepers setting up stalls for sweets, idols, colours, and other Holi-related items have also been advised to arrange temporary electricity connections as per regulations. The company has emp...
