Ranchi, July 17 -- State Drinking Water and Sanitation department Minister Ramchandra Sahis today said that State Government is serious with water conservation in urban and rural areas.
The Minister claimed that the Government is serious in developing a mechanism so that there is water in ponds, lakes, and farm field round the year.
Addressing his weekly Janta Durbar, the Minister said that the depleting ground water is cause of concern for everyone.
He said, "The main cause of depleting ground water is non- judicious exploitation of ground water. The Government is preparing a mechanism through which ground water table in State is maintained."
