New Delhi, Feb. 14 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Thursday presented a Rs 17,002.67 crore budget for the financial year 2025-26, 1.91 percent increase from the previous year's estimate of Rs 16684.02 crore. Of them, Rs 4,907.11 crore have been allocated for sanitation. In the special budget meeting, MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar presented the budget allocations, outlining key allocations for various sectors. Kumar estimated an income of Rs 16,701 crore and an expenditure of Rs 17,002 crore. Additionally, Rs 2,894 crore (17.02%) will be allotted for public works and street lighting under the engineering department, up from Rs 2,694 crore this year.
