Dehradun, April 4 -- The Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) completed its last phase of sanitising the city by disinfecting seven wards on Friday.

A special sanitisation drive was commenced by the municipal corporation from April 1 in order to reduce the risk of community infection of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) among the residents of Dehradun. In its first and second phase, 36 and 45 wards were sanitised respectively with more than one lakh litre of disinfectant. In the third phase on Friday, the MCD disinfected seven wards spraying 45,400 litres of one percent hypochlorite solution with the help of three tanks, 40 spray machines and 20 motor machines.
