Ranchi, March 18 -- Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi took stock of the violent clashes that took place on Holi in Ghorathamba market of Giridih district. He walked through the entire market and inspected the burnt shops. He also met the victims and reviewed the entire incident.
Targeting the state government for having minority appeasement policy, he said that the role of the police in this entire episode was to protect the criminals, goons, miscreants and attackers. He said that every year people have been going on the street and road in Ghorathamba on which no dispute took place during festivals, but this year, Hindu brothers were attacked in a planned manner while playing Holi.
